ALITA is brought to life from the mastermind of visionary James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez. If you remember how visually stimulating Avatar and Sin City were, then your interest should already be sparked. ALITA loops us into the near and far future of Sheroes! Being part human and part cyborg comes with its challenges.
ALITA goes on a quest of self discovery and learns that much if not most of her courage and strength comes from her heart. Upon discovering this she embarks on a quest of answers and freedom and none of it is as she imagines or comes easy.
ALITA is action packed with scenes that seem nearly impossible for the average human being. Many of the characters partake in incredible stunts that involve leaping atop buildings, jumping from balconies to some pretty exhausting battle scenes with other characters similar to herself.
To celebrate the release of ALITA, Twentieth Century Fox invited us on a special quest to go inside the world of ALITA’s best battles scenes at the Tempest Freerunning Academy in South Bay.
My boys took the lead on this quest, as they are always full of energy and were thrilled to work with professional athletes, actual stuntman and ninja warriors. Once inside Tempest Freerunning Academy, I knew we were in the right place. The instructors and participants made sure that everyone safely learned their section. The sections consisted of choreography from the chase and fight scenes in ALITA.
After they completed their sections they were ready for a live action scene. Videographers were on hand to catch participants in action! It was truly an experience that they’ll never forget.
ALITA opens in theaters February 14 and is sure to win hearts!. The fight scenes are fantasy violence and mostly consist of robots being dismantled! YEAH! It’s a thumbs up for us!

From visionary filmmakers James Cameron (AVATAR) and Robert Rodriguez (SIN CITY), comes ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL, an epic adventure of hope and empowerment. When Alita (Rosa Salazar) awakens with no memory of who she is in a future world she does not recognize, she is taken in by Ido (Christoph Waltz), a compassionate doctor who realizes that somewhere in this abandoned cyborg shell is the heart and soul of a young woman with an extraordinary past. As Alita learns to navigate her new life and the treacherous streets of Iron City, Ido tries to shield her from her mysterious history while her street-smart new friend Hugo (Keean Johnson) offers instead to help trigger her memories. But it is only when the deadly and corrupt forces that run the city come after Alita that she discovers a clue to her past â she has unique fighting abilities that those in power will stop at nothing to control. If she can stay out of their grasp, she could be the key to saving her friends, her family and the world sheâs grown to love.
