Ashanti and Cast On Friendship In Honey Girls

This post is in Partnership with Sony Studios and Build-A-Bear Entertainment. All opinions expressed are honest and my own.

Music has a long reputation of bringing people together from different walks of life. Honestly, I can’t think of a single person that can’t recall a song that will be always have a relevancy to some part of their life.

Honey Girl goes on on a journey of self discovery for a group of lucky girls chosen to pursue a once in a lifetime opportunity in the music industry. They tackle situations like jealousy, competitiveness, dealing with failure, the struggle to meet parents expectations and of course living up to their super star Boss Ashanti.

I participated in group interviews and asked about the importance of friendships, especially within the creative industry. I commented that friendships can have an effect on us that’s not always initially seen. Tune in below to hear Ashanti, Tessa Brooks and Trey Fanjoy with the rest of the cast of Honey Girls.

Three young musicians participate in a talent competition to discover the next great solo artist, hosted by global pop-star Fancy G (Ashanti). The competitors quickly discover that they are “better together” and form a secret band called HONEY GIRLS that has an immediate viral mega hit!  Performing in disguise to avoid detection and elimination by Fancy G, these three competitors must ultimately decide what is more important – fame or friendship.
