The good folks at Warner Bros. have followed up to The Lego Movie with more action and adventure, even better quick wit and life lessons for all to walk away with.
Chris Pratt doubles as Emmitt and his alter ego and newcomer Rex, as he joins The LEGO Movie 2 The Second Part. Elizabeth Banks is the edgy Wyldstyle (Lucy) who surprisingly shows her softer side.
It’s OK, An Alter Ego Lives In Us All
Chris Pratt doubles the trouble and the fun in The Lego Movie 2, The Second Part. When asked what about himself did he see in his character he admitted to seeing how they both allowed elements of his personality to shine through. Pratt relates to Emmet Brickowski as an optimistic guy that sometimes looks so far on the bright side that he’s often short-sighted in his optimism.

He jokes that Rex Dangervest was intentionally mined from his career as a joke. He’s similar to him, just in the characters that he’s played, you know, Raptor-training-Guardian-of-the-Galaxy kind of a character, you know, there’s that kind of stuff there.
Embrace Yourself
Elizabeth Banks was asked about embracing who you are and she shared that she thought one of the most interesting things about the movie is Finn, who’s sort of everyone’s big brother and he confronts this issue head-on in the film. He tried on a lot of different identities, trying to figure out who he is supposed to be. He wondered if he should be tougher and if he was enough.
Banks also admitted to having these doubts herself. Her love for creativity and athleticism led her to ask “Am I going to play sports or be a theater person?” She admits to enjoying both but felt like she had to choose.
But, like for some reason, I felt like I couldn’t–like I had to pick. So, I think part of it is, you know, you don’t always have to pick. Sometimes, you can be like, “Yes, this is the real me.

Second thoughts, not me
Both Pratt and Banks were up for the second installment to The Lego Movie franchise. Elizabeth admits to never being concerned and trusting the process because of the people involved and believed that everyone wanted to make sure that it lived up to the first movie.
Chris added that he called them (producers/directors) after the first Lego Movie and wanted to know what the sequel was going to be about. From that
