Los Angeles Families Doo Good and Feel Good with Scooby-Doo

MYSTERY SOLVED! The Sooner, The Better for Community Service

“By engaging children in service early on, they begin to lead a civic life, which in turn helps to create a civic culture,” said Tammea Tyler, Vice President of generationOn.

Life-long commitment to social responsibility is just as crucial as academics and not much of a mystery for families anymore. Today there are lots of volunteer options for families to choose from. Scooby-Doo #DooGood and the Mystery Inc. Gang have teamed up with environmentally focused organizations Enrich LA and generationOn to help spread the word about how we can volunteer to care for our environment.

The ‘DOO GOOD’ campaign is nationwide and started this spring with the initiative, Save the Environment, leading into Earth Day on April 22. We’ve partnered with Warner Bros., generationOn, and local community wellness non-profit organization Enrich LA to #DooGood in our community. My family, along with several other families, participated in planting a summer fruit and vegetable garden, fulfilling a Los Angeles based social service act at a local underserved school.

The daylong commitment started with a warm welcome from Warner Bros., generationOn and EnrichLA . We enjoyed a healthy breakfast and a once in a lifetime experience; a ride in the life sized Mystery Machine!
