Marsai Martin & Iain Armitage on Community and Courage in Paw Patrol The Movie

*This post is in collaboration with Paramount Studios. All opinions expressed are honest and my own.

Paw Patrol The Movie

PAW Patrol first made way into my home back in 2013. My youngest gave me a giant smile when I told him I was covering one of his old favorites. While he has grown past the small kid days of PAW Patrol, I chose to review the film because finally Paw Patrol got it’s own movie and mostly I wanted to see if the messages in Paw Patrol the series transferred to PAW Patrol the Movie.

In its first motion picture event, the PAW Patrol face their biggest rival, Humdinger as he becomes mayor of nearby Adventure City and starts wreaking havoc. While Chase must face his past in the bustling metropolis, the team finds help from a new ally, the savvy dachshund Liberty.

Community and Courage

Paw Patrol the Movie stayed true to the message of community and courage, Paw Patrol teaches young viewers about working together to protect our community and the self realization that if you believe you can do something, you can!. Marsai Martin is Liberty, the new pup on the block and quickly becomes an ally to the Paw Patrol team. Chase’s big screen debut, played by Iain Armitage, provided the biggest lesson for the young artist. The lesson was about courage and the fact that we all have it and lose it sometimes. Chase’s confidence was challenged and ultimately resurged as he and his Paw Patrol crew set out to protect the good community of Adventure City.

I was invited to speak with Marsai (Liberty) and Iain (Chase) about portraying confidence through their characters. Take a listen below and take the family to see PAW Patrol the Movie August 20 in Theaters and Streaming on Paramount + August 20.
