Game shows bring about a feeling of nostalgia for the days when television went off and families had routine TV shows that they tuned into every week. I’ll never forget the theme music to Wheel of Fortune thanks to my grandparents, it was their favorite show! Universal Kids have done a great job with resurrecting family time in front of the tube.
They went deep into their vaults and rebirthed Beat The Clock. The classic game show where kids team up with their adult family members and race against the clock in wacky challenges; only one team makes it to the end, where it competes against The Big Clock for a grand prize. Hosted by Paul Costabile!

Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PST is just the right time to tune in. It’s on late enough to watch after dinner and early enough to be off a couple of hours before bedtime. Families are participating in wacky challenges like catching pancakes and catching balls with oversized pants. The vibrant colors and quirky props will be are very visual for viewers and should manage to keep the kid’s attention.
We attended the premiere screening for Beat The Clock and laughed out loud while snacking on popcorn and cold drinks. Afterwards, we played several of the games used on the show!
