No Filters, Kids Only Please
Show Dogs stars Will Arnett, Natasha Lyonne and the voice of Chris “Ludacris” Bridges. Being a family-friendly film, it was only right that the press conference for Show Dogs was held by none other than kids. If you’re thinking oh boy, you’re exactly right. They were funny, they were open, they were honest and mostly they were kids. It was refreshing to hear unfiltered questions directed toward the cast and they loved the interviewees perspective as well.
*The quotes are by various children participating in the interview.
Straight To The Point
Are there any famous people in this movie?
Arnett: We couldn’t get any.
Arnett: Is that your mom there? Have her pull up IMDB real quick. Because the tears [breaks down in laughter] are coming too quick.
Lyonne: Kids speak the truth, Will. It’s important that we listen.
Arnett: You don’t know this, but you’ve helped me out so much. When you’re older you understand.
To Will Arnett: You look different than on the movie poster?
Lyonne: Will, this is my favorite thing I have ever done in my entire life. You guys are perfect. Is this a roast?!
Arnett: I feel like this is set up by my therapist. Anyone else? I feel like it can’t get worse, but let’s give it a try!
Lyonne: Don’t think about the question. Just go ahead and ask it.
Fury Friends From PawWorks
We recently lost our male Poodle, Chino, after 17 years and it has not been a walk in the park in the healing department. Show Dogs has been the first animal movie we’ve watched since. It was just the right amount of funny that we needed. In the lobby, PawWorks held a meet and greet during the blue carpet. Paw Works is a non-profit organization that gives abandoned pets a second chance at life. They also educate on the prevention of killing pets through education on adoption and responsible pet ownership.
There were cute fury faces all around us. Some were eager and some were sleepy. My son was hesitant at first but eventually gave in and got a hug. I think it was good for him.
